Nubia Announces Beta Test Laboratory for NaviX Ultra AI Features
Nubia has launched a limited 'Beta Test Laboratory' program for its NaviX Ultra smartphone, offering 300 users early access to upcoming AI capabilities. Participants can test experimental features and help translate user feedback into official product functions. This initiative allows early adopters to shape the development of advanced artificial intelligence features on a flagship device. It highlights how smartphone manufacturers are increasingly relying on closed user communities to iterate rapidly on software capabilities. The beta program is strictly limited to 300 participants chosen during the phone's evolution live stream. The NaviX Ultra itself features the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform and relies on the Doubao AI assistant for its artificial intelligence integration.
## BACKGROUND
Released in September 2026, the Nubia NaviX Ultra is positioned as a high-end device featuring deep AI integration powered by ByteDance's Doubao assistant. Smartphone beta programs are frequently used by manufacturers to stress-test experimental agentic workflows and gather real-world usage telemetry before a wide rollout.
