Neolix Deploys L4 Autonomous Delivery Vehicles at Jeju Island Resort in South Korea
Chinese autonomous driving company Neolix has partnered with South Korean autonomous driving firm NT1 and the Campertree Hotel to deploy L4 delivery vehicles on Jeju Island. This marks Neolix's first commercial operation in an outdoor resort environment in South Korea, delivering room supplies, meals, and luggage across open internal roads. The deployment demonstrates the global expansion of Chinese L4 autonomous logistics technology into specialized overseas hospitality environments beyond standard urban delivery. It also aims to help South Korea address labor shortages in last-mile delivery and lower operational costs in tourist regions. Unlike typical indoor hotel service robots, Neolix vehicles operate on open outdoor roads using vision-based perception for lane and obstacle detection combined with an end-to-end neural network driving controller. This architecture enables automated path planning and navigation across complex lighting conditions, sloped terrain, and mixed pedestrian areas.

Level 4 (L4) autonomous driving enables vehicles to handle all driving tasks without human intervention within designated operating zones. End-to-end deep neural network models process raw sensor inputs, such as camera pixels, directly into vehicle control commands like steering and acceleration, replacing traditional multi-stage modular autonomous driving software stacks.
