Moonshot AI Valued at $50B Ahead of Planned Hong Kong IPO
Moonshot AI has reportedly completed its final pre-IPO private funding round at a $50 billion valuation and plans to raise up to $5 billion in a Hong Kong IPO targeted for Q1. The company has already filed confidentially with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and begun initial outreach to gauge investor demand. The landmark valuation highlights the massive commercial growth and investor appetite surrounding top Chinese AI labs competing directly with global leaders like OpenAI and Anthropic. However, the move comes amid heightened data security investigations in China, testing how regulatory enforcement might impact high-profile AI listings. Moonshot AI's Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) reportedly reached $1 billion—up from $300 million in June—and is projected to hit $2 billion by December. Bank of America, CICC, Deutsche Bank, and Goldman Sachs are serving as coordinators and sponsors for the offering, though timing remains subject to regulatory developments.
