Mechrevo Teases Master Road X10 Mini PC with NVIDIA RTX Spark and AI SSD

Chinese manufacturer Mechrevo is reportedly developing the Master Road X10 mini PC, powered by NVIDIA's Arm-based RTX Spark chip and a self-developed 'AI SSD'. The system is designed to offload large local AI models from DRAM to NAND storage while preserving and reusing processed context to reduce compute overhead. This architecture directly addresses the memory capacity bottleneck of running large language models (LLMs) locally on compact desktop hardware. By leveraging dedicated SSD offloading optimizations, mini PCs could run significantly larger AI models without requiring expensive, high-capacity RAM configurations. The AI SSD optimizes model loading and reuses pre-computed key-value contexts to mitigate the speed limitations of flash storage. Hardware-wise, NVIDIA's RTX Spark platform merges a 20-core Grace Arm CPU with a Blackwell-architecture RTX GPU for local AI workloads.

## BACKGROUND

Large language models require high memory bandwidth and capacity to store billions of parameters and active context during inference. Traditional systems rely on high-speed VRAM or system DRAM, making it costly or impossible to run massive models on compact hardware. Offloading strategies move model weights or context caches to non-volatile NAND SSDs, using software and hardware optimizations to minimize latency penalties.
