llama.cpp Release b11396 Fixes Windows LLVM CI Build Configuration
llama.cpp released build b11396, which updates the Continuous Integration (CI) configuration to require the Ninja Multi-Config generator for Windows LLVM builds. This update ensures that automated build pipelines for Windows environments using LLVM compilers complete reliably across multiple build configurations. It helps maintain stable automated software releases for developers and users of llama.cpp. The patch, merged in pull request #29959, specifically targets CMake build settings for Windows LLVM builds in CI workflows. Alongside this change, release b11396 includes updated automated binary packages across macOS, Linux, Windows, and Android platforms.
## BACKGROUND
CMake is a build system generator, and Ninja is a high-speed build tool frequently used with it. Standard Ninja generators only support a single build configuration at a time, whereas Ninja Multi-Config allows CMake to generate multiple build configurations (such as Debug and Release) simultaneously in a single build tree.
