Li Auto announced a September over-the-air (OTA) update for its Livis AI smart glasses, introducing three key features pushing out next week. The update adds multi-language support for real-time simultaneous translation, environment-adaptive volume control, and a video highlight tagging feature triggered by long-pressing the record button. The update enhances the daily usability of the glasses by improving cross-language communication and automated audio adjustments in changing noise environments. It demonstrates how automakers are using wearable hardware to extend their AI and software ecosystem directly to consumers. The Livis AI glasses weigh approximately 36 grams, use Bestechnic's BES2800BP chip, feature Zeiss anti-blue light lenses, and offer up to 18.8 hours of battery life. The video highlight feature simplifies post-recording review by letting users bookmark key timestamp moments while capturing video.
