Lenovo Announces ThinkCentre X Ultra Mini PC with AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495
Lenovo introduced the 1.6-liter ThinkCentre X Ultra mini PC equipped with AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processors and support for up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory. The desktop allows up to 96GB of system memory to be dedicated specifically as VRAM for GPU workloads. Allocating up to 96GB of memory as VRAM turns this ultra-compact PC into a powerful platform for running large language models (LLMs) locally. It highlights how integrated APU architectures are expanding high-performance local AI capabilities to small form-factor commercial workstations. Measuring 183×183×51 mm, the system features two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 SSD slots, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 10GbE network port, DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR10), and a flexible expansion port. Alongside it, Lenovo also unveiled the ThinkCentre M75s Gen 6 and M75q Gen 6 powered by AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400G desktop processors.

AMD Ryzen AI Max processors integrate high-performance CPU cores, built-in graphics, and dedicated Neural Processing Units (NPUs) using a unified memory architecture. Unified memory allows the integrated GPU to dynamically share the system's high-speed RAM, providing massive video memory capacities that would usually require expensive enterprise-grade dedicated GPUs.
