Leapmotor Surpasses 100,000 August Deliveries and Teases World Model Autonomous Driving Tech
Leapmotor announced global deliveries of 103,129 vehicles in August, representing an 80.7% year-over-year increase and marking another month exceeding the 100,000-unit threshold. Additionally, the automaker announced an upcoming technology conference on September 16 to showcase its world model-assisted autonomous driving system and new powertrain advancements. Strong monthly deliveries alongside improving profit margins highlight Leapmotor's growing competitiveness in the fierce Chinese EV market. Furthermore, adopting world models for autonomous driving reflects a broader industry shift toward using AI spatial physics simulation to improve self-driving capability. On the financial side, Leapmotor recorded H1 revenue of 38.11 billion RMB with a net profit of 210 million RMB, and Q2 gross margin improved to 12.6%.
