Leapmotor Reportedly Bringing World-Model Autonomous Driving Across Entire Lineup
Chinese EV maker Leapmotor reportedly plans to unveil over five major technologies at its September 16 technical launch event, including top-tier AI world-model autonomous driving. The feature is expected to be deployed across its entire A, B, C, and D model series, covering price points from 60,000 to 300,000 RMB. Bringing advanced AI-driven autonomous driving down to entry-level vehicles starting at 60,000 RMB could accelerate the democratization of smart EV technology in China. If realized, offering top-tier self-driving capabilities in affordable mass-market cars will put significant pressure on competitors to lower costs for smart driving tech. In addition to autonomous driving, the event will reveal innovations in a new mobile space architecture and Leapmotor's core "three-electric" EV powertrain systems. Company leadership noted that the upcoming ADAS capabilities represent a massive leap forward compared to their current driving assistance products.
