Kuaishou's Kling AI Secures 1.4 Billion RMB from China's National AI Fund

Kuaishou announced that its AI subsidiary, Beijing Kling, has secured a 1.4 billion RMB (approx. $193 million) cash investment from the China National Artificial Intelligence Fund. Additionally, Charoen Pokphand Robot Limited has invested $19.29 million (approx. 131 million RMB) into the company. This massive funding highlights strong state-backed financial support for China's leading generative video models, positioning Kling AI to compete more aggressively in the global generative AI market. It also signals the strategic deployment of China's newly established 60 billion RMB National AI Fund to boost domestic AI capabilities. Under the agreement, both the National Artificial Intelligence Fund and Charoen Pokphand Robot have been granted repurchase rights. The National Artificial Intelligence Fund, established in January 2025 with a total capital of 60.06 billion RMB, is backed by major state entities including the National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund Phase III.
