Kuaishou Announces Kling AI 4.0 with 4K HDR and 30-Second Video Generation
Kuaishou announced that Kling AI 4.0 will officially launch in October, introducing native video generation up to 30 seconds and support for 4K 10-bit HDR output. The update also features multi-keyframe precision control, enhanced audio lip-syncing, prompt length expansion up to 8,000 tokens, and preview access to Kling 4.0 Flash. This major version release significantly lengthens single-generation video clips while upgrading visual quality to professional 10-bit HDR cinema standards. It bridges the gap between experimental AI video generation and commercial video production by offering fine-grained control over dynamic movement, narrative continuity, and audio synchronization. Kling 4.0 supports combining up to 15 multimodal reference inputs in a single task, including up to 10 images, 5 videos, and 7 distinct subjects. It also introduces video extensions up to 2 minutes, multi-language dialogue generation across various regional accents, and a redesigned canvas editing UI powered by an integrated AI agent.
## BACKGROUND
Kling AI is a generative artificial intelligence service developed by Beijing-based technology company Kuaishou that produces synthetic video content from text prompts, images, and reference files. Earlier AI video generation models often struggled with rendering long, coherent sequences without visual artifacts or maintaining proper color depth across complex lighting conditions.
