JD Jing Zao Launches AI Smart Mattress with Health Monitoring and Voice Chat
JD.com's private label brand JD Jing Zao, in collaboration with JoyInside, launched a crowdfunding campaign for an AI-powered smart mattress starting at 9,699 RMB. Powered by JD's self-developed JoyAI large language model, the mattress features real-time dynamic body fitting, voice chat assistance, and 32 health monitoring metrics. The launch illustrates how Chinese tech giants are embedding generative AI models and multi-modal sensing directly into consumer home furniture for active wellness management. It expands smart home IoT beyond passive monitoring into active physical adjustments, such as automatically adjusting sleep positions to alleviate sleep apnea. The mattress incorporates dual-mode piezoelectric sensors with 80,000 sensing points to detect micro-vibrations and monitor conditions like obstructive sleep apnea, triggering automatic gentle lifting. It also offers dual-zone independent control for both sides, head elevation up to 60°, leg elevation up to 40°, and fast graphene thermal therapy heating at 2°C per second.
