Innolight Lists on HKEX, Raising 53.41 Billion HKD in Hong Kong's Largest IPO of the Year
Leading optical module manufacturer Innolight has officially listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, raising approximately 53.41 billion HKD. This milestone marks the largest IPO in Hong Kong this year and completes the company's dual-listing "A+H" share structure. As a critical supplier of AI hardware infrastructure, Innolight's massive capital injection will accelerate its R&D in optical interconnects and expand global production capacity to meet the surging demand for high-speed data transmission. This listing highlights the growing financial backing for key players in the global AI hardware supply chain. Despite the record-breaking IPO size, Innolight's shares fell 2.04% on their debut to close at 960 HKD, giving the company a market capitalization of 1.12 trillion HKD. High-speed optical modules generated 94.6% of its revenue in Q1 2026, and the IPO attracted prominent cornerstone investors including Temasek, BlackRock, Alibaba, and Tencent.
## BACKGROUND
Optical modules are optoelectronic devices that convert electrical signals into optical signals and vice versa to enable high-speed data transmission over fiber optic networks. Optical interconnects utilize light instead of traditional copper wires to exchange data between computer components or systems, offering significantly higher bandwidth and lower latency. These technologies are essential for modern data centers and large-scale AI computing clusters that process massive workloads.
