INNO3D Launches AGS-6220V2 6U Dual-Socket Server with 8 PCIe Gen5 Slots
INNO3D has announced the AGS-6220V2, a 6U rackmount dual-socket server powered by 5th Gen Intel Xeon Emerald Rapids-SP processors. The system features eight PCIe Gen5 x16 slots, 32 RDIMM memory slots, and support for high-performance enterprise GPUs such as the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell server edition. The server provides dense compute capabilities and high-speed PCIe Gen5 bandwidth tailored for demanding AI training, high-performance computing (HPC), simulation, and visualization workloads. Its high-wattage redundant power system and extensive expansion support help enterprise data centers scale compute-intensive workloads effectively. The AGS-6220V2 includes four 2700W CRPS power supplies configured in a 3+1 redundant setup, dual 25GbE networking ports, and 12 front-accessible drive bays (8 SATA and 4 PCIe). System monitoring and remote out-of-band management are powered by an integrated ASPEED AST2600 Baseboard Management Controller (BMC).
## BACKGROUND
Common Redundant Power Supply (CRPS) is an industry standard for modular, hot-swappable server power supplies that maintain uninterrupted operation if a unit fails. Baseboard Management Controllers (BMC), such as the ASPEED AST2600, are dedicated microcontrollers that enable system administrators to remotely monitor hardware status, control power, and perform diagnostics independent of the main operating system.
