Huawei, vivo, and Honor to Integrate AI Assistants with Alipay's Abau Agent
Huawei's Xiaoyi, vivo's Blue Heart V, and Honor's YOYO are reportedly testing integration with Alipay's AI agent 'Abau'. Once implemented, these system-level smartphone AI assistants will be able to directly invoke Alipay's smart service capabilities. This collaboration highlights a growing trend of OS-level, cross-platform multi-agent collaboration in the mobile ecosystem. It allows hardware manufacturers to seamlessly connect users to a vast array of third-party services using natural language commands. The integration follows similar rollouts by OPPO and StepFun, enabling tasks like ordering food, booking movie tickets, and checking social security. Alipay is also actively negotiating with other smartphone brands to expand the reach of its AI Open Platform.
## BACKGROUND
Alipay launched its AI Open Platform in July, allowing developers and merchants to connect their services to its AI agent, Abau, for distribution across various smart devices. Smartphone brands like vivo and startups like StepFun have been developing their own large language models to power next-generation system-level AI assistants.
