Huawei Updates Xiaoyi App Beta, Upgrading Xiaoyi Claw to Xiaoyi Work

Huawei has launched beta update version 11.7.8.215 for its Xiaoyi app on HarmonyOS, replacing the Xiaoyi Claw feature entry with Xiaoyi Work. The beta invitation period runs through late September, transitioning users to the upgraded AI assistant. This change unifies Huawei's agentic AI productivity features under a single service across smartphones, tablets, and PCs running HarmonyOS. It highlights Huawei's shift toward autonomous AI assistants capable of handling end-to-end professional tasks like document editing and coding. Xiaoyi Work operates as an autonomous agent that takes high-level user instructions, breaks them down into subtasks, arranges execution steps, and calls system tools to produce editable Word, PPT, Excel, or web outputs. Users can review task progress and retain approval at critical execution checkpoints.
