Huawei's Yu Chengdong announced that the Luxeed RX coupe SUV has officially received an L3 autonomous driving road test license. The vehicle is currently undergoing real-world testing on public urban expressways and complex traffic scenarios. Receiving L3 test approval marks a crucial milestone in the transition from driver-assist systems to conditional hands-free autonomous driving on public roads. This achievement strengthens Huawei's competitive positioning in China's rapidly evolving smart electric vehicle industry. Built on Huawei's Turing chassis platform, the Luxeed RX features 38 perception sensors, including an 896-line dual-light-path LiDAR and three solid-state LiDARs. The vehicle trim featuring the L3 autonomous driving architecture starts at a pre-sale price of 359,800 RMB.
