Huawei Rolls Out Autumn Software Update for Sound X Smart Speakers
Huawei has announced a major autumn software update for four models in its HUAWEI Sound X smart speaker lineup, including the Sound X 2021, Sound X NEW, Sound X Gilded Theater Edition, and Sound X4. The update introduces AI-driven music search, natural voice dialogue, encyclopedia Q&A capabilities, and support for HiPlay streaming. This update extends the lifecycle of older smart speaker hardware by bringing improved conversational AI and high-fidelity audio casting features to existing devices. It also strengthens Huawei's smart home audio ecosystem by expanding adoption of its proprietary HiPlay wireless streaming standard. The integration of HiPlay enables direct wireless streaming without needing a network connection, supporting high-resolution master quality audio up to 192kHz/24-bit. The update applies to four specific models across the Sound X generation lineup.
