Huawei has officially launched Celia Work (小艺 Work), an AI-powered productivity assistant built for tasks like document analysis, slide creation, market research, and software development. Users updating the Celia app receive a 31-day trial with 1,000 free AI points to explore its multi-device workspace features. Celia Work highlights Huawei's effort to integrate autonomous AI agent capabilities deeply across its hardware ecosystem, including smartphones, tablets, and PCs running HarmonyOS. Seamless cross-device task delegation allows users to monitor cloud or desktop workflows on the go, bolstering Huawei's competitive standing against rival AI workplace assistants. The assistant acts as an AI agent that automatically decomposes user objectives into steps, invokes relevant tools, and executes tasks across local or cloud environments. Users can initiate tasks remotely from a smartphone, track progress in real time across multiple connected PCs, and receive automatically synchronized output files.
## BACKGROUND
Celia (known in China as Xiaoyi) was originally developed by Huawei as a virtual assistant to replace Google Assistant on EMUI and HarmonyOS devices without Google Mobile Services. Huawei has progressively enhanced Celia with large language models and generative AI features to serve as an intelligent multi-modal workflow assistant across its device ecosystem.
