Huawei Launches Closed Beta for Celia Work AI Assistant Across HarmonyOS and Windows

Huawei has officially launched closed beta testing for Celia Work (小艺 Work), an AI work assistant designed for office tasks, coding, and design across HarmonyOS and Windows devices. The assistant can autonomously break down goals, plan execution steps, invoke local or cloud tools, and allow users to remotely orchestrate and track tasks across devices. This initiative represents a significant push toward deep, OS-level AI agent integration that spans cross-device platform boundaries. By uniting first-party hardware connectivity with multiple external foundation models, Huawei aims to enable continuous autonomous workflows for everyday professional tasks. Celia Work integrates algorithms from multiple Chinese AI providers, including DeepSeek, Huawei Cloud Pangu NLP, MiniMax, Zhipu AI, and Moonshot. The service operates on an AI points billing model, features cross-session memory for context persistence (which Huawei states will not be used for model training), and enforces a strict 7-day data retention policy upon subscription expiration.
