HTC Releases Round-Frame VIVE Eagle Smart Glasses with 3K Video Upgrade

HTC has introduced a new round-frame variant of its VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses alongside software updates that boost video recording resolution from 2K to 3K. The update also adds slow-motion video, first-person live streaming for up to 1.2 hours, head gesture call controls, and expands VIVE AI Notes to support 96 languages. This update strengthens HTC's position in the consumer AI smart glasses market, competing with devices like Meta's Ray-Ban glasses through enhanced media capture and productivity features. HTC's open AI architecture allows users to choose between Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT, providing flexibility alongside privacy-focused hardware design. Priced at NT$15,600 (approx. 3,307 RMB), the round-frame model comes in Charcoal Black, Brown, and Blue with customizable ZEISS lens options. The glasses feature a 235mAh built-in battery capable of charging to 50% in 10 minutes, supported by an optional 8-gram magnetic charger with a 120mAh capacity.
