HP Announces EliteBoard G2a Keyboard PC with AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400
HP has introduced its second-generation EliteBoard G2a keyboard PC, featuring upgraded AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400 series processors while keeping the previous generation's mold design. Buyers can choose between the Ryzen AI 7 PRO 450 and Ryzen AI 5 PRO 435 options. This release brings modern AI processing capabilities and refreshed performance to a niche, ultra-portable form factor designed to connect with any USB-C display. It highlights the ongoing integration of dedicated neural processing units into unconventional computer designs. The device retains the same form factor and includes a pre-paired wireless mouse, optional 32Wh battery, and integrated fingerprint reader. It supports two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM memory slots, an M.2 PCIe Gen4 x4 SSD slot, and features multiple full-function USB-C ports along with stereo speakers and array microphones.
## BACKGROUND
A keyboard PC is a complete computer built directly inside the housing of a computer keyboard, reminiscent of 1980s home computers like the Commodore 64. The AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400 series processors, based on the Gorgon Point architecture, incorporate advanced neural processing units to accelerate machine learning workloads locally on the device.
