Honor Announces 2026 Developer Conference Schedule and MagicOS 11 Launch Date
Honor officially announced the schedule for its 2026 Global Developer Conference in Shenzhen on September 15, featuring the main launch of MagicOS 11. The updated operating system introduces the mobile industry's first commercial system-level AI Agent Harness capabilities. Integrating an AI Agent Harness into the mobile OS marks a transition from simple chatbot widgets to deep, system-native automation. This approach enables AI agents to coordinate multi-step tasks, retain state memory across sessions, and directly invoke hardware and software tools across the OS. MagicOS 11 features storage optimizations saving up to 60GB through lossless compression, a liquid glass UI design, and physics-based motion animations boosting overall smoothness by over 20%. Additionally, it adds simultaneous streaming to two Bluetooth headsets and network selection via Hongyan AI Cloud Map.
## BACKGROUND
An AI Agent Harness (also called agent scaffolding) is the software infrastructure layer built around a large language model (LLM). While the model handles reasoning and text generation, the harness provides external memory, state persistence, tool execution, and safety controls required for agents to perform multi-step, autonomous tasks.
