Hands-On with vivo OriginOS 7: Upgraded BlueLM AI Assistant and Refined UI Design
vivo officially unveiled OriginOS 7, featuring an upgraded BlueLM AI assistant ("Little V Pro") integrated deeply into the system to invoke over 6,000 atomic capabilities. The update also introduces fluid physics-based visual animations, an upgraded Blue River Smooth Engine, and debuts the Atomic Workstation multi-tasking feature on standard candybar smartphones. This release highlights mobile OS vendors' push to embed proprietary AI models directly into system frameworks for cross-app task execution. By bringing desktop-style multi-tasking and deeply integrated AI capabilities to standard smartphone form factors, vivo aims to boost daily user productivity. OriginOS 7 includes over 200 liquid animation scenarios and 130 elastic physics animation scenarios, alongside dynamic optical lighting feedback for AI task states. The upgraded BlueLM assistant can handle over 10,000 types of tasks by leveraging system-level atomic capabilities, while new UI controls offer customizable transparency effects across three texture presets.
## BACKGROUND
OriginOS is vivo's custom Android-based operating system designed for its mobile devices. In recent iterations, vivo introduced its proprietary BlueLM (Blue Heart Large Model) AI suite and the Blue River Smooth Engine, an underlying system performance architecture optimizing CPU scheduling, memory management, and display rendering. Features like Atomic Workstation were previously limited to foldable phones and tablets to manage multiple active app windows on a single display.
