Haier and Xianglu Partner to Develop Fully Automatic AI Cooking Robot
Haier Robotics and Xianglu Robotics have formed a strategic partnership to co-develop a next-generation, fully automatic home AI cooking robot that claims to offer a completely hands-free cooking experience. The robot will automate the entire process, including ingredient and seasoning dispensing, intelligent stir-frying, and recipe matching. This partnership highlights the accelerating integration of embodied AI into consumer smart home appliances, moving beyond simple automation toward intelligent, perception-driven household assistance. If successful, it could significantly lower the barrier to home cooking and reshape the smart kitchen ecosystem. The robot features Haier's proprietary "AI Eye" technology to recognize pre-packaged clean vegetables, eliminating prep work like washing and cutting, and utilizes an AI cooking large model to replicate professional chef techniques. The joint product, along with Xianglu's own "Xianchao Fangzhou" embodied cooking robot, will officially debut at the World Robot Conference (WRC) in Beijing in August.
## BACKGROUND
Embodied AI refers to intelligent systems that interact with the physical environment through sensors and actuators to perceive, make decisions, and execute physical actions. While automated cooking machines have existed for years, integrating AI large models and computer vision allows robots to dynamically adjust cooking parameters and handle diverse ingredients.
