Great Wall Motor's Wey V9X Receives First OTA Update with AI Voice Agent
Great Wall Motor has rolled out the first OTA update for the Wey V9X, introducing over 20 new features and upgrading more than 150 existing functions. Key additions include the "Xiao Wei" AI voice agent, upgraded Gaode Map features, and optimizations for the vehicle's full-scenario Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) system. This update highlights the growing trend of integrating advanced AI agents and full-scenario autonomous driving capabilities into modern electric vehicles to enhance user experience. It demonstrates how automakers use over-the-air updates to continuously refine vehicle safety, navigation, and cabin entertainment post-purchase. The update introduces a "Valet Mode" that limits speed to 120 km/h and disables driver assistance, alongside a "Limp Mode" that provides safety redundancy for low-speed driving during extreme battery conditions. The "Xiao Wei" agent now supports multi-destination voice routing and continuous multi-position commands.
