Google Integrates Gemini Live Voice Search into Gmail, Docs, and Keep Mobile Apps
Google has announced the integration of Gemini natural language voice search (Live mode) into the mobile versions of Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Keep. The feature is available to Google AI subscribers, allowing users to interact conversationally with their productivity apps. This integration advances Google's vision of a voice-first productivity ecosystem where users can retrieve and organize personal data hands-free across multiple apps. It also enhances the value proposition of Google's premium AI subscription tiers. The feature is currently available only in English to users subscribed to Google AI Plus, Pro, or Ultra plans. Users can ask Gmail specific questions like flight gate info, instruct Docs to pull context from emails to write drafts, or conversationally update shopping lists in Keep.
