Gigabyte Announces AORUS 1600PG5 AI TOP 1600W Titanium Power Supply
Gigabyte has officially announced the AORUS 1600PG5 AI TOP, a 1600W power supply certified with 80PLUS Titanium efficiency. It features a built-in full-color LCD screen for real-time system monitoring and supports the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards. This power supply targets AI developers and heavy computing workloads by supporting up to four GPUs simultaneously. As local AI model training and multi-GPU setups become more common, high-capacity, highly efficient power delivery is crucial. The unit measures 160x150x86mm and includes a 14cm dual ball bearing fan with a zero-RPM mode and an automatic dust-removal reverse spin feature. It comes bundled with two native 16-pin to 16-pin PCIe cables and two dual 8-pin to 16-pin PCIe cables to support next-generation flagship GPUs.
## BACKGROUND
The ATX 3.1 standard updates the previous ATX 3.0 specification, introducing the safer 12V-2x6 connector to replace the older 12VHPWR connector for high-power PCIe 5.1 graphics cards. Additionally, the 80 PLUS Titanium certification represents the highest tier of energy efficiency for power supplies, requiring at least 90% to 94% efficiency under various load conditions.
