Geely Unveils 'Geely Smart Charge' AI Technology with 2.2 MW Peak Output
Geely Automobile Group officially released 'Geely Smart Charge,' an AI-driven charging technology powered by the Xingrui PowerMind energy model co-developed with StepFun. The system achieves an industry-record single-gun peak charging power of 2.2 MW (2,250 kW), allowing compatible vehicles to charge from 10% to 70% in just 4.5 minutes. This breakthrough reduces EV charging times to match traditional refueling speeds, helping accelerate global EV adoption. By leveraging AI to optimize energy flow and thermal management, Geely also mitigates battery degradation, extending cycle lifespan by over 20%. The chargers feature a 'Double 1500' spec—up to 1,500V peak voltage and 1,500A peak current—while keeping average battery charging temperatures under 55°C. Geely also upgraded battery warranties to 8 years or 200,000 km for eligible models and plans to construct over 22,000 charging stations by the end of 2027.
