Geely Debuts AI-Powered New Energy Off-Road Technology on Galaxy Battleship 700

Geely Auto has officially unveiled its AI-powered new energy off-road technology, which integrates the GTA native off-road architecture, the Thor EM-T hybrid system, and an AI all-terrain digital chassis. This technology suite will make its production debut on the upcoming Galaxy Battleship 700 SUV. This innovation addresses the traditional trade-off between rugged off-road capability and passenger comfort by embedding the ladder frame directly into the unibody structure. Additionally, the integration of AI-driven chassis control and a high-efficiency hybrid powertrain signals a shift toward smarter, more efficient off-road electric vehicles. The GTA architecture reduces overall vehicle weight by 200kg and increases cabin vertical space by up to 70mm, while the Thor EM-T hybrid system delivers a combined output of 830kW and 13,920 N·m of wheel torque. The system features a 2.0T engine with a record 48.41% thermal efficiency, a 3-speed DHT, and three intelligent "locks" for extreme off-road recovery.

## BACKGROUND

Traditional off-road vehicles typically rely on a body-on-frame design, where a separate body is mounted on a rigid steel ladder chassis. While durable, this design increases weight, raises the center of gravity, and limits interior space. Modern new energy off-road vehicles attempt to solve these issues by combining electric motors for instant torque with hybrid engines, using software and AI to dynamically manage traction and suspension.
