Former Xiaomi Executive's AI Sleep Startup Jinri Yixiu Opens Shenzhen Office

Former Xiaomi Mobile President Wang Teng announced that his AI sleep health startup, Jinri Yixiu, has officially opened its new office in Shenzhen. The Shenzhen office is established to leverage local hardware supply chains for hardware R&D and build overseas sales capabilities. Establishing a footprint in Shenzhen—China's premier tech manufacturing hub—allows Jinri Yixiu to accelerate its hardware deployment in the growing AI consumer device market. It highlights a common strategy among Chinese hardware startups to split software development in Beijing and hardware R&D/supply chain operations in Shenzhen. While headquartered in Beijing, the Shenzhen facility will focus heavily on R&D talent acquisition and global market sales channel construction. Rather than just selling smart mattresses or pillows, the startup aims to develop an "AI energy management engine" that continuously analyzes user states to optimize sleep and daily energy levels.
