Former Anthropic Claude Code Lead Cat Wu Joins OpenAI
Cat Wu, the former product lead for Anthropic's Claude Code, has joined OpenAI as the head of Core Product Management. She will focus on core products and AI agents, reporting to Tibo Sottiaux. This high-profile recruitment highlights the intense competition for top AI talent among major labs as they scale agentic coding and core products. Wu's experience in turning internal tools into multibillion-dollar commercial products will directly benefit OpenAI's ongoing product evolution. Before joining OpenAI, Wu played a crucial role in scaling Claude Code from an internal prototype into a major commercial driver.
