Faraday Future Ships Record 152 EAI Robots in July
Faraday Future founder Jia Yueting announced that the company sold and shipped 152 FF EAI robots in July, setting a new monthly record. This brings their cumulative shipments to 394 units as they work toward a yearly goal of 2,000 units. While Faraday Future is primarily known for its electric vehicles, this sales milestone highlights the company's diversification into the commercial robotics and embodied AI market. However, given the company's history of financial struggles, the long-term viability of this robotics venture remains to be seen. The FF EAI robot lineup includes the Futurist humanoid robot, the Master athletic humanoid robot, the Aegis quadruped robot, and a wheel-arm series released in the second quarter. The company previously shipped 105 units in June and 242 units between March and June.
## BACKGROUND
Embodied AI refers to artificial intelligence systems integrated into physical bodies, such as robots, that can perceive and interact with the physical world. Faraday Future introduced its first batch of embodied AI robot products in February at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) show.
