Chinese Robotics Startup Agibot Awards Extra Month's Salary as Mid-Year Bonus
Chinese humanoid robotics startup Agibot has announced a "mid-year special performance award" providing an extra month of fixed salary to all employees who worked during the first half of 2026. This bonus also extends to former employees who left during this period, prorated based on their active working days. This rare move of rewarding even departed employees highlights Agibot's strong financial health and rapid commercial success in the competitive embodied AI market. It reflects the company's leading position, having shipped over 5,100 humanoid robots in 2025 to capture a 39% global market share. The bonus will be distributed alongside the July salary, covering the period from January 1 to June 30, 2026. Agibot's rapid scaling is evidenced by its production milestones, reaching its 15,000th humanoid robot (the Jingling G2) in June 2026.
## BACKGROUND
Founded in 2023 by prominent figures including CTO Peng Zhihui (known online as "Zhihui Jun"), Agibot specializes in embodied AI and humanoid robots.
