Chinese Robotics Firms Launch Embodied AI Tier 1 Industry Alliance
Initiated by Xingyuanzhi and Lingxin Qiaoshou, over 20 Chinese robotics and sensor companies have established the China Embodied AI Tier 1 Industry Alliance. The coalition brings together key hardware and software suppliers across the embodied robotics supply chain. Forming a dedicated Tier 1 alliance helps streamline and standardize China's hardware supply chain for embodied AI and humanoid robotics. This collaborative ecosystem could reduce integration overhead and speed up the commercial deployment of advanced robotics systems. Alliance members include prominent market leaders such as Hesai Technology, RoboSense, Orbbec, Livox, and the iFlytek Robot Superbrain Platform. The alliance covers key technical components including AI brains, dexterous hands, LiDAR, visual and tactile sensors, robotic arms, wireless communications, and thermal management.
## BACKGROUND
Embodied AI refers to artificial intelligence integrated into physical systems, such as humanoid or autonomous robots, enabling them to perceive and interact with the physical environment. In complex manufacturing, Tier 1 suppliers directly provide integrated modules and critical subsystems to major equipment manufacturers.
