Chinese Police Dismantle Scam Ring Using AI Voice Bots for Mass Fraud
Police in Yueqing, China, arrested 30 suspects involved in a telecom fraud scheme that defrauded over 1,000 victims of more than 10 million RMB in two months. The criminal group utilized automated AI voice call systems capable of placing up to 200,000 dials per day to identify and screen potential scam targets.
