Chinese Open-Source LLMs Integrated into OpenAI's Enterprise Ecosystem via Baseten

AI infrastructure provider Baseten has partnered with OpenAI to bring Chinese open-source models, including Moonshot AI's Kimi K3 and GLM 5.3, into OpenAI's B2B marketplace. Enterprise users can now invoke these models directly via OpenAI's Codex enterprise channel or the Responses API. This marks the first time Chinese open-source models have entered OpenAI's official corporate billing system, allowing enterprise customers to access alternative high-capacity models using their existing OpenAI budgets. It reflects expanding enterprise adoption of top-tier open-source LLMs within established cloud and API marketplaces. Moonshot AI's Kimi K3 features 2.8 trillion parameters, native vision capabilities, and a 1-million-token context window tailored for long-form coding and document analysis. To address enterprise security and compliance concerns, Baseten hosts all models on U.S.-based servers with a strict Zero Data Retention (ZDR) policy across all prompts.
