Chinese Man Sentenced for Using AI-Generated Rotten Fruit Images for E-Commerce Fraud
A court in Hunan, China, sentenced a man to one year in prison for using AI image editing software to fake rotten fruit photos and exploit e-commerce "refund-only" policies. The fraud, totaling over 16,000 RMB, temporarily caused e-commerce platforms to blacklist his entire county as a high-risk area.
