China's First Ocean AI 'Token Factory' Launches in Qingdao with 800P+ Compute Capacity

China Mobile Shandong helped launch China's first marine-focused AI supply platform, the 'Ocean Token Factory,' in Qingdao with over 800P of compute capacity. The platform integrates over 130 ocean data categories and more than 50 AI models, including domain-specific models like Guanhai and general-purpose LLMs like China Mobile's Jiutian. Building custom data, compute, and model pipelines for marine operations typically involves high costs, long development cycles, and steep technical hurdles. By standardizing AI capabilities into pay-as-you-go 'Tokens,' the platform lowers barriers for ocean engineering, scientific simulation, and marine environmental monitoring. The platform packages data governance, compute scheduling, model services, and tool components into standardized Token metrics for on-demand delivery. Its compute infrastructure relies on China Mobile's Qingdao Data Center, integrating high-performance AI computing and supercomputing resources for land-sea coordinated scheduling.
