China's Digital Industry Revenue Exceeds 20 Trillion RMB in First Half of Year

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reported that the country's digital industry revenue reached 20.71 trillion RMB in the first half of the year, representing a 13.6% year-on-year increase. This growth was largely driven by surging domestic AI demand and strong export performance, leading to a 19.3% increase in total profits. The data underscores China's rapid transition toward an AI-driven economy and its massive investments in next-generation digital infrastructure. The significant expansion of intelligent computing power and high-speed networks will accelerate the digital transformation of traditional industries. China's smart computing scale reached 218.5 EFLOPS (FP16), marking a 177% year-on-year increase, supported by 52 newly built computing facilities with over 10,000 cards each. Additionally, the country deployed 5.102 million 5G base stations and 32.86 million 10GPON ports to support high-speed connectivity.
