China Projects 4 Trillion RMB Investment in Computing Power Network by 2030

China's National Development and Reform Commission announced that the national computing power network is projected to attract 4 trillion RMB in direct investment during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period (2026-2030). Additionally, the country has deployed its first fully domestic 100,000-card AI supercluster, with the national intelligent computing scale growing to 2.8 times compared to the same period last year. This massive infrastructure push will create significant opportunities for private investment and accelerate the development of China's domestic AI ecosystem. It aims to unify fragmented computing resources, reducing reliance on foreign hardware while boosting domestic supercomputing capabilities. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology aims to establish a complete computing power interconnectivity standard system by 2026 and achieve nationwide public computing standardization interconnectivity by 2028. Domestic AI models from companies like DeepSeek and Moonshot have also surpassed 10 billion global downloads.
