China Mobile Launches AI Trusted Computing (AITC) Solution for Secure Cloud AI

At the 2026 China Computing Power Conference, China Mobile officially launched AI Trusted Computing (AITC) and established an ecosystem strategic partnership with major Chinese technology leaders. Built on a fully domestic hardware stack, AITC provides multi-form confidential computing power and confidential tokens to secure cloud-based AI training, inference, and data usage. The initiative addresses critical security hurdles—such as sensitive data leaks, model asset theft, and untrusted cloud execution environments—enabling risk-averse sectors like finance, healthcare, and government to safely adopt public cloud AI. By delivering private cloud-level data isolation on public infrastructure, it helps accelerate enterprise AI adoption across privacy-sensitive industries. AITC leverages hardware-level trusted environments, national cryptography, and information flow protection to keep data fully encrypted during computation and models unextractable during inference. It also integrates China Mobile's AI-eSIM and Super SIM technologies, extending root-of-trust hardware protection directly to terminal devices.

## BACKGROUND

Confidential computing relies on hardware-based Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) to protect data while it is actively being processed in memory. While standard encryption safeguards data at rest and in transit, TEEs isolate data and execution code from host operating systems, hypervisors, and cloud provider administrators. This ensures sensitive computation remains untampered and confidential even within shared public cloud environments.
