China Establishes Global Civilization Academy to Study Civilization Theories and AI

## BACKGROUND
The Global Civilization Initiative (GCI) is a diplomatic framework proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping in March 2023. It advocates for respecting the diversity of civilizations, promoting common human values, and fostering international cooperation. The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), which established the new academy, is a premier academic organization and comprehensive research center in the fields of philosophy and social sciences in China.
