China Develops Nearly 200 Key AI Standards and Accelerates 6G R&D
China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced the successful development of nearly 200 key AI standards. Additionally, the ministry outlined plans for the '15th Five-Year Plan' period to accelerate the construction of next-generation communication and computing networks, alongside boosting 6G research and development. Establishing standardized AI frameworks and advancing 6G infrastructure will strengthen China's technological self-reliance and global competitiveness in emerging industries. This policy push will accelerate the digital transformation of key sectors like robotics, aerospace, and smart electric vehicles. By 2035, China aims to cultivate approximately 100 demonstration parks and 1,000 leading enterprises to drive innovation and ecosystem optimization. The initiatives also emphasize scaling up 5G and Industrial Internet applications while enhancing network and data security.
## BACKGROUND
Computing networks integrate computing resources directly into communication networks to dynamically allocate cloud, edge, and terminal resources based on user demand. The Industrial Internet represents the deep integration of next-generation information technology with the industrial economy to build a fully connected manufacturing and service system.
