Chuanqing Drilling has successfully deployed "Qineng IDOS," China's first fully self-controllable intelligent drilling system, in Sichuan, upgrading 12 traditional drilling rigs. The system has demonstrated a 20% increase in overall drilling efficiency and shortened the construction cycle of test wells by 8.7%. This deployment marks a major milestone in the automation and digitalization of China's oil and gas industry, reducing reliance on manual parameter tuning. It also improves operational safety with automated hazard responses and optimizes labor resources by transitioning workers to remote monitoring roles. The IDOS system integrates features like intelligent reaming, one-key shut-in, and remote monitoring, reducing the time to find optimal drilling parameters to just 5-6 minutes. It is fully compatible with mainstream MWD/LWD data interfaces and supports both slide drilling and rotary steerable processes.
