China Advances World AI Cooperation Organization with 38 Founding Members
China is advancing the operationalization of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO), with 38 countries already joining as founding members. The National Development and Reform Commission announced plans to implement the Global AI Governance Initiative and foster pragmatic cross-border cooperation. This initiative shapes international AI governance frameworks and standard-setting, offering a collaborative platform oriented toward the Global South.
