Cambricon Denies Rumors of 20–30% Price Increase on AI Processors

Chinese AI chipmaker Cambricon denied market rumors claiming it plans to raise prices for its next-generation AI processors by 20% to 30%. The company stated it has not issued any price adjustment notices and urged investors to rely only on official disclosures. As demand for domestic AI compute infrastructure accelerates in China, pricing stability from top local vendors is critical for companies deploying large language models. Cambricon's response clarifies market speculation while underscoring its expanding role in supporting major domestic LLM developers like DeepSeek, Qwen, and Zhipu AI. Cambricon reported H1 2026 revenues of 5.996 billion yuan (up 108.13% year-over-year) and net profits of 2.311 billion yuan. Additionally, the company confirmed that its sixth-generation microarchitecture and instruction set architecture (ISA) are actively under development, targeting optimizations for both LLM training and inference workloads.
