ByteDance's Volcengine has initiated enterprise trials for its Seedance 2.5 4K video generation model, providing early access to 20 global studios and directors for cinematic production. The 4K model focuses on high-end film requirements, offering sharper visual details and more natural character performances. This rollout marks a significant step in pushing generative AI video tools into mainstream, high-end commercial cinema and television production. By targeting top-tier global studios, ByteDance is bridging the gap between experimental AI video generation and broadcast-quality deliverables. Seedance 2.5 supports videos up to 30 seconds with synchronized audio, precise reference control, and partial editing features that let users modify specific elements without full redraws. The first batch of 20 projects utilizing the 4K model includes an upcoming S-grade television IP and major global IP films.
