ByteDance's Doubao Work App Launches on HarmonyOS PC
ByteDance has completed development of its AI agent application, Doubao Work, for the HarmonyOS PC platform, and the app is now available on the AppGallery marketplace. This launch marks incremental ecosystem growth for Huawei's proprietary HarmonyOS PC platform as major tech companies like ByteDance develop native software for it. Doubao Work integrates deeply with Lark (Feishu) to assist with enterprise tasks, content generation, and editing capabilities such as creating reports, analyzing data, and generating multimedia.
## BACKGROUND
HarmonyOS is Huawei's proprietary distributed operating system designed to replace traditional software ecosystems by utilizing its own microkernel and native applications. AppGallery serves as Huawei's official application distribution platform for devices running HarmonyOS.
