ByteDance's Doubao AI Becomes Official Guide at Hubei Museum with Dialect Support

ByteDance's Doubao AI assistant has officially become the digital docent at the Hubei Provincial Museum, hosting the "Treasures of the Kremlin" exhibition. As part of this rollout, Doubao's museum guide feature was upgraded to support interactive voice tours in 12 Chinese dialects. This deployment demonstrates how voice AI and large language models are being integrated into public cultural tourism and heritage exhibits. Supporting regional dialects makes museum information more accessible to local residents and older visitors who prefer speaking in their native dialects. Visitors at the museum can enable the "Museum Guide" mode in the app to ask questions and receive spoken explanations in local dialects, including Wuhanese, Cantonese, Shanghainese, and Sichuanese. The initial service focuses on providing context for Kremlin artifacts covering the period from Peter I to Catherine II.
